‘Friends’ Newsletter
February 2025
Dear ‘Friend’,
The Trustees had a busy 2024 and held three very successful fundraising events: blade sharpening, Dahlia Festival and a talk given by Prof. Stephen Huggett on Sir Isaac Newton. Thank you to all who supported these events which raised just over £2,000 for the Trust.
The Trust donated £5000 towards the ‘Bells Appeal’ last year. We look forward to them being re-hung.
We have been extremely fortunate to have been left a legacy from one of our Friends. If you would like to consider leaving one, do please let me know.
Our AGM will take place on Monday 31st March and if you would like to attend, we would ask you to please let Jane Jackson know (janefrancesjackson@gmail.com)
Our next fundraiser is the annual Blade Sharpening event which will take place on
Saturday 26th April up at the village hall, 10.30am – 1.00pm. Even if you don’t have blades that need sharpening, it would be good to see you for coffee and cake.
As always, thank you so much for your continued invaluable support.
Kind regards, Yours sincerely,
Andrew
